The wavelength region above which a fiber can no longer effectively guide the fundamental mode.  When a significant proportion of the mode field propagates in the cladding, the light is no longer effectively confined, so losses are high. This is often referred to as the bend-edge and is characterized as the point at which the transmission of the fiber turns sharply downwards.
