Fibercore Limited has a dedicated laboratory solely for reliability and qualification testing. It contains state of the art test equipment to test according to Industry standard conditions and beyond, and has been operating on both internally and externally generated projects since 2000.

With 24 years’ experience in the Industry, Fibercore Limited offers the un-matched, in-depth knowledge of Specialty Fibers that is essential to ensure that test conditions accurately reflect the service environment the fiber will encounter in your application. We know from experience that accepted standards were developed for standard applications. So, when you are using our Specialty Fibers in your Specialty Applications – our engineers will work with you to develop the custom test program that you really need.

Environmental test chambers covering temperature range -55?C to > +120?C
Climatic chamber with -30?C to > +120?C capability and humidity control from 0 to 100% relative humidity
An array of optical sources and detectors for optical monitoring during tests
A purpose built extinction ratio measurement system for measuring h-parameter or extinction ratio change as a function of temperature
Coating integrity under reduced pressure and temperature
Photon Kinetics 2500 test bench for attenuation monitoring across a wavelength range
Leica microscope with integral camera and video for inspection at up to 500x
