IsoGain™ is available in two variants - I-4/980/125 and I-6/980/125. Both offer the same, ultra-flat spectrum, efficiency, consistency, spliceability and reliability. The only difference is in their pump absorption - I-6 has a higher absorption to give you a shorter gain-length and reduced cost whereas I-4 simplifies EDFA production because its optimum gain length, whilst longer, is less sensitive to small fluctuations in peak absorption value.
