Special fibers demand special equipment and special skills – with Fibercore Limited’s fusion splicing service, you get access to both. PM splices may be aligned at zero, or 45° and mode-field expansion techniques are employed for rare-earth doped fibers to minimise both loss and back-reflection.

Alternatively, you may have access to your own fiber drawing and specialised coating facilities. In these cases, preforms to generate either standard (HB, SM or DF) or custom fibers are available. Each Fibercore Limited preform is supplied complete with certificated fiber from a test draw and critical tower and furnace set-up parameters.
