Despite the vast potential of fiber laser technology, fiber lasers can actually be built by virtually anyone with a sound knowledge of physics and access to basic optical components. Developed with the needs of undergraduate teaching laboratories in mind, Fibercore Limited Fiber Laser Kits are designed to help you get started in this exciting new technology – quickly and simply.

The FLK1000 is the basic kit, intended for people who have full access to a typical optics/fiber optics laboratory.

The Kit contains a three metre length of DF1000 neodymium doped fiber, together with a pair of Fibercore Limited LM 1000 mirrors and a comprehensive instruction manual. These components, when combined with a suitable pump-source and the sort of micropositioners, mounts and lenses available in most optics laboratories, will enable you to build a neodymium fiber laser.

The FLK1000S is the advanced kit, providing all of the components needed to construct a fully-functioning ‘brass board’ 1088 nm neodymium-doped fiber laser.
